A police officer in Montgomery County shot and killed a man after reports he had, without provocation, stabbed four people at random on Saturday. The victims included three women — two were stabbed in the neck — and a man, all of whom are expected to survive. (WJZ)

The federal court for the District of Maryland is warning citizens not to fall for false jury service claims from scam callers. They are impersonating court administrators who claim victims will be hauled off to jail if they don’t pay a fine for missing jury duty. If you get a call claiming to be looking for a fine because of missing jury duty, officials said that call is fraudulent. (WTOP)
A Maryland State Public Defender says the legalization of recreational use of marijuana in Maryland has allowed the opportunity to right the wrongs of many people of color in lower income communities. One big change is the time it takes to expunge previous marijuana related changes. Prior to July 1st, it was ten years before the charges could be expunged. Now, it is three years. (WMDT)

The Worcester County Health Department reported on Friday that a raccoon has tested positive for rabies in Pocomoke. Officials are urging residents to report sick animals and those acting in an unusual manner, as there may be additional rabid animals in the area. (WBOC)
