The shocking murder of two adults and a child in Williamson County has authorities searching for a suspect.

Just before 7:30 p.m. Saturday evening, Georgetown Emergency Communications received a call reporting deceased persons inside an apartment in the 300 block of Luther Drive.

Officers arrived on scene at 7:33 p.m. and located three individuals who had each been shot multiple times. The deceased have been identified as Alonzo Hawkins, 34; his cousin Doneisha Brooks, 39; and Brooks’s daughter Olivia Brooks, 8.
Family members said they spoke with Hawkins and Brooks, who were cousins, every day. When they did not hear from them on Saturday, they sent someone for a welfare check. That person discovered their bodies.
Georgetown and Williamson County authorities say this is an active investigation.
Evidence indicates the suspect was known to the victims. A person of interest has been identified, and efforts are underway to locate this individual whose whereabouts are currently unknown.
Austin police said a man died Saturday night at a mobile home park on Frontier Valley Drive near East Riverside Drive.
A 16-year-old girl has been arrested after allegedly stabbing her sister in Manor on Sunday.
According to the Manor Police Department, the incident occurred in the parking lot of a Walmart on Highway 290 at around 5:45 p.m. Sunday evening.

The 32-year-old victim was taken to Dell Seton, where police say she is dealing with non-life threatening wounds on her face and shoulder. (KVUE-TV)

Tax Hike Proposed for Flood Recovery in Sandy Creek
Residents of Sandy Creek are concerned about a proposed county tax hike that would help fund recovery efforts following the July 4 floods. The Travis County Commissioners Court proposed an 8% tax increase last month to help pay for the relief.
The proposal has drawn criticism from many locals, but aid is on the way for those who were impacted by the disaster.
A boil water notice was in effect over the weekend for residents of Lexington in Lee County while service repairs were made but service has since been restored and the notice has been lifted.
