A second case of measles is being investigated in Travis County.

This new case involves a vaccinated adult who may have been exposed to the virus while traveling within the United States. The Travis County resident is isolated and has mild symptoms.
Austin Public Health released an “exposure list” of places the infected person visited April 16-20:


Updated data from the Texas Department of Health Services show 646 cases have been confirmed in the state.

An arrest has been made in the shooting death of a northeast Austin teen last month.
Austin Police are investigating a suspected burglary at the Mariposa Family Learning Center in southeast Austin. Surveillance footage from April 12th and 13th captured a man entering and exiting the school on two separate occasions. One video shows him removing a cart containing several items from the building.
