
A house explosion in northwest Austin on Sunday morning resulted in six injuries, including two critical cases.
A Nest camera from a neighboring home captured the explosion.

The blast, which occurred around 11:23 a.m. at 10412 Double Spur Loop, caused one house to collapse completely, another to partially collapse, and damaged at least 24 other residences.
















Austin City Councilman Marc Duchen, whose district was affected, issued a statement on the incident.

Mustang Ridge authorities recovered a stolen vehicle Sunday after the suspect ran out of gas.

Also, an aggravated assault in the parking lot of a restaurant last night has Mustang Ridge police looking for a vehicle that may have been involved.




Two people were injured in a crash Sunday morning on I-35.
The main lanes of the interstate from Highway 183 and Rundberg Drive will be closed each night from Monday to Thursday, with several other sections also impacted.

Senate Bill 406 would require birth certificates to list someone’s biological sex and prohibit that marker from being changed for minors. The bill will now go to the House, which has its own version of this bill, House Bill 477.
