A motorcyclist struck a pedestrian in the 6800 block of East U.S. 290 Highway in southwest Austin late Christmas night resulting in the deaths of both.


Another fatal accident occurred early this morning.
The Hays County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man wanted for various family violence offenses.


A man has been sentenced in connection with a May overdose surge in downtown Austin.
In that surge, nine Travis County residents and two Williamson County residents died out of a total of 79 suspected cases. Fentanyl was present in all nine Travis County deaths. Cocaine was also present in eight cases and methamphetamine in three. (KXAN-TV)

Austin’s Fox7 News has been provided with evidence in the case of Kaitlin Armstrong that had not been seen outside the courtroom.
Armstrong was found guilty of murdering Anna Moriah Wilson in May 2022 and sentenced to 90 years in prison.
