It’s been a busy 24 hours for Austin Police and homicide detectives.

One person was detained after a deadly shooting in North Austin. When officers arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds to his body. He was later pronounced dead on the scene.
Preliminary information from police suggests both the victim and the shooter were homeless.

One man is dead after a homicide late Monday night in north Austin at the 400 block of East Wonsley Drive, located near East Anderson Lane and the South Interstate 35 Frontage Road.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man inside an apartment between 20-30 years old with signs of trauma. After police and EMS tried to save his life, he was pronounced dead on scene at 11:24 p.m. (KXAN-TV)
