It’s been quite the year for me.
I launched a new blog, rolled my first 300 game in league bowling, saw some great concerts, did some traveling…and then said goodbye to Maryland.

Change was definitely in the air for me in 2023 and I am thankful for all of it.
Thankful, obviously, for my family. They’ve supported me, rooted for me and have always been there for me.
But my focus on this Thanksgiving is on one particular person: my best friend. My brother from another mother. A man who exemplifies what it means to be a true friend.
You know who you are.
Without you, I wouldn’t be living this new life here in the ATX.
Without you, I wouldn’t be excited for my future.
Without you, I would feel alone in this world.
So, today, as far as I’m concerned, is about you. Perhaps what I am thankful for the most.
And it’s not what you do for me…it’s who you are. Kind, generous, thoughtful, funny, smart, supportive and accepting.
It’s a rare gift and I will never take it for granted.
I am fortunate to have someone like you in my life, particularly at this stage of my life.
I struck gold with you.
And for that alone, I am thankful.
