Austin Police responded to calls for a “shoot/stab” call downtown overnight.
Upon arrival, they found chaos.
Multiple people have been injured and there are three reported fatalities.

An APD officer shot and killed the suspect, who reportedly used a pistol and assault rifle in the attack.
KXAN confirmed with multiple sources that the suspect was 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne.

BREAKING: An FBI official confirmed in a news conference that the shooter in Austin’s mass shooting had materials that “were indications of a potential nexus to terrorism.”

BREAKING: The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force has joined the investigation into Austin’s mass shooting based on preliminary evidence at the scene; the shooter apparently used a pistol and assault rifle in the attack.

The FBI, ATF and local authorities are searching a home in Pflugerville, reportedly in relation to this morning’s incident.

The incident occurred outside Buford’s Backyard Beer Garden.
