Two supercell storms rolled through Central Texas Wednesday evening dumping torrential rain and large hail, producing wind gusts nearing 80 mph and causing flash flooding that resulted in multiple water rescues.
One person has been confirmed dead.

Damage was seen downtown, in North Austin and East Austin. South of the city was largely spared.

A wind gust of 77 mph was reported at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

As of 6:00 a.m. this morning, some Austin Energy customers have had their power restored, some have not.
