Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers left yesterday’s game against UTSA after suffering an oblique abdominal strain.
Redshirt freshman Arch Manning took over control of the game and passed for 223 yards, completing 9 of his 12 attempts and finding the end zone four times. He also broke off a 67-yard rushing touchdown. (Austin American-Statesman)
There’s no definitive word on how serious Ewers’s injury is or how long he might be out of action.

A Williamson County man plead guilty Friday to a charge of arson causing bodily injury and was sentenced to serve 15 years in prison. The arson was reportedly motivated by Myers’ son dating a woman that he did not approve of. (CBS Austin)
