What a gorgeous day in Central Texas.

I call this “San Diego Weather“. Sunny, breezy…low to mid 70s. Bless you, gods of autumn.

Walking along the edge of downtown this morning.

The payoff after five months of living in an Easy Bake Oven.

Well, not me, really. I just got here. But I was here in June for ten days and every day was 100-plus…so I got a taste of what’s to come next summer.

I am still in the throes of my TSR (Temporary Semi-Retirement). One month in. I’m enjoying (for now) having no real commitments or schedule, having coffee out on the deck every morning and letting grocery shopping or laundry be my biggest daily accomplishment. And that’s okay. As I’ve stated before, I’ve earned some time off. But pretty soon, that’s going to wear off. I’m already having days where I’m realizing I have nothing to do so I’m going to museums or the library.

This week, I’m going to a party downtown in conjunction with the Formula One U.S. Grand Prix event here in Austin this weekend. Look for pictures and videos from that soon.

Speaking of downtown, here’s a piece from the Washington Post on Austin’s exploding office market…”but no one’s moving in.” Worth reading.
