In the fourth day in the trial of a Baltimore teenaged ‘squeegee worker’ accused of killing a motorist downtown last summer:
- A firearms expert said he examined five bullets and five casings and found that all ten items were consistent with being fired from a 9mm Lugar that was found in a Nike backpack recovered near the scene. The defendant’s DNA was found on the straps.
- The assistant medical examiner who conducted the autopsy said the victim, Timothy Reynolds, was shot five times, three of the five were to the back, and at least two of the wounds were not survivable.
- The medical examiner also confirmed that Reynolds was not drunk, as previously claimed by the defense.
- The prosecution rested its case. Monday morning jurors will hear closing arguments.
