Local police and first responders were busy Sunday with several incidents including a double homicide in the northeastern section of the city, a missing swimmer in Emma Long Metropolitan Park and a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in South Austin.
Just before 10:00 p.m., Austin Police received a shot/stab call for the Aldrich51 Apartments where two Black males were found shot to death.



Sunday night’s incident marks Austin’s 18th and 19th homicides of 2025.
A reported missing swimmer at Emma Long Metropolitan Park has not been found despite search efforts.



A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of South Congress Avenue and Oltorf Street in South Austin last night.

A crash temporarily closed the westbound lanes of about half a mile of East Crystal Falls Parkway in Leander yesterday. There were no details released on the crash itself, including anyone involved, any injuries or what happened. (Fox7 Austin)
