The Austin Police Department is investigating after a deceased person was located in South Austin on Sunday night in the 6400 block of Bradsher Drive, near the intersection of South Congress Avenue and West William Cannon Drive.


No suspects at this time. This is Austin’s tenth homicide of 2025.
Austin police are still trying to identify and locate a suspect in a shooting early Sunday morning on 6th Street near Brazos that left four people hurt.

Austin firefighters responded to a structure fire Sunday in North Austin.

Beginning today, Austin residents with outstanding warrants or citations have a period of amnesty where they can settle their cases without threat of arrest.

Of the roughly 80 people arrested in Travis County each day, a little over half are being provided representation. A new program is up and running that will eventually provide legal representation to all to individuals who are arrested and can’t afford an attorney – a constitutional right. (Austin Monitor)
