The Longhorns couldn’t get in the end zone as time expired in regulation and instead settled for a game-tying field goal.
In overtime, the Longhorns again couldn’t get the touchdown and settled for three to take the lead, 19-16.

UPDATE: The College Football Playoff committee announced on Sunday that Texas will be the No. 5 seed in its 12-team playoff. The Longhorns and Tigers will meet at Royal-Memorial Stadium at 3 p.m. on Dec. 21 in a game that will be televised on TNT. (Austin American-Statesman)
