The Travis County Sheriff’s Office said in a Saturday afternoon press release that it had arrested and charged a 37-year-old man in connection to a Friday afternoon homicide after deputies found an adult man “in advanced stages of decomposition” at a residence on E. Lakeshore Drive near Lake Travis.
Chad Wayne Christopher was taken into custody. He is believed to have been the victim’s caretaker.

Just after 3:00 p.m., the Austin Police Department announced East Ben White Boulevard eastbound was closed at the Interstate 35 northbound ramp.
Police said a woman has been on top of the overpass since Saturday morning, and negotiators worked to get her down. After about two hours, they were successful and traffic lanes reopened. (KVUE-TV)
