The Austin Police Department is investigating after two dead bodies were found at a northwest Austin apartment complex Tuesday. 911 dispatch received a call for a check welfare at the apartment complex, located in the 5700 block of Diehl Trail.
The Austin Police Department released bodycam footage Tuesday from a Sept. 10 deadly shooting in north Austin involving officers.
The incident began with a call to Austin 911 around 10:59 p.m. on September 10 about a man, later identified as 59-year-old Franklin Earl Miller, who was attempting to break into a business at 1724 West Anderson Lane and appeared to have a gun on him.
A total of five APD officers discharged their department-approved firearms:

A sixth officer was identified as Officer Jeremmy Santos, who has been with APD for four months. Police said he deployed a pepper-spray projectile. All six officers were placed on administrative leave. (KXAN-TV)
