Growing up, I was introduced to satire and parody thanks to MAD Magazine and “The Carol Burnett Show”. “College humor” like National Lampoon would come later, as did “Saturday Night Live”, the sitcoms of Norman Lear and the comedy albums of George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Steve Martin and, yes, that rapist.
I love comedy. A sharp wit. Sarcasm. Funny with a punch.
While compiling websites to fill my new ‘AUSTIN’ bookmarks tab, I stumbled upon Texas Travesty, “the country’s largest student-produced humor publication based out of the University of Texas”.

Perusing through it, I found myself laughing out loud several times.
“Seven Controversial ISIS Moments”, “How To Bang Your Inner Woman” and the “Spiritual Name Maker For White People Who ‘Found Themselves’ In India” are all highlights in the new issue. The whole thing is a fun read.
Good stuff. Kudos.
