After the protest ended at the State Capitol, some made their way into the streets of downtown.







A man was arrested before last night’s demonstration after the Texas Department of Public Safety identified a “credible threat” toward legislators attending the event.

The threat led to the evacuation of the Capitol Building just before the start of the planned demonstration.


The threats against the lawmakers who planned to attend the “No Kings” event came hours after two Minnesota legislators were shot, leading to the Texas Capitol being temporarily evacuated.
Similar, but smaller, “No Kings” protests were held throughout the region. Crowds in Pflugerville and Bastrop were larger than expected.
A person is dead following a two-vehicle crash that occurred in Cedar Park in Saturday night.
