A strong line of thunderstorms rolled through Central Texas Tuesday night bringing heavy downpours, vivid lightning, high winds and some hail.
There are early reports of some light damage across the region.

Day 2 of early voting in Travis County saw a higher turnout than Monday with just over 10,000 registered voters casting early ballots.




In Williamson County, like the day before, election officials saw about 5900 early voters cast ballots Tuesday.



Austin investigators are building a sweeping case against three teenage suspects — including a 17-year-old now facing six felony counts — in a 28-hour shooting spree that terrorized South and East Austin over the weekend.
17-year-old Cristian Mondragon-Fajardo, made his first court appearance Tuesday and was held without bond. Court proceedings revealed he is not a U.S. citizen and is currently subject to an ICE hold. He was also on probation through the juvenile justice system at the time of the alleged spree.

In Potter County, crews stopped the forward progression of a fast-moving fire (Stinky Fire), but over 300 homes were threatened and multiple have been impacted.







The Amarillo Office of Emergency Management has begun a phased reentry process for certain evacuation areas, offering some relief to displaced residents after days of uncertainty.
Strong winds and blowing dirt severely hampered visibility across parts of the Panhandle on Monday, complicating containment efforts and grounding aircraft. A private helicopter assisted crews with bucket drops while heavy equipment worked to grade fire breaks around threatened neighborhoods.
